Pg 18: I would let the parent know that even though we have checked to ensure that the children within the classroom do not have any peanut allergies, that do not protect the children within the facility that will come incontact with the children from our class. To ensure that every chid is protected which is our numer one goal we will have to come up with a alternative that do not include peanuts to ensure the saftey of all the children.
Pg 19: I would express to her my deepest sympathy for he curent situation, and explain that I understand that sometimes life bring about situations that are sometimes within our control, but there is also those that are out of our control as well. I would then tell her to talk with her co-workers to see if they will be willing to give her their day, and if they have no issue with having her work those hours I have no issue with that. I would not just automatically make that decision to change her hours because this could become a issue in the future.
Pg 22: I would first take a moment to gain control and to make sure that they are really my lessons plans, becaus the last thing we need is a misunderstanding. Then I would wait until she is alone, no children or staff, because a audience would not do anything but make the situation worse and its not a good thing for the children to be subject to such behavior. But one I have her alone I would let her know that I know that she has my lesson plans and if she needed help with hers I was more than open to help her; however mines is going to have to come down and returned.
Pg:23 I would 1st apologize to the father for the incident. I would then let him know that I was not made aware of the accident and that children sometimes play and hurt themselves; however it is not as sever as it may seem so they show no emotion of in pain or upset. I would assure him that I keep a close eye on the children and if a sever accident arrise I do make a report and make contact. I would give him the opportunity to talk with the director to secure his feeling of security within the facility if need be.
